Development of unconventional gas such as CSG is Australia's best bet in its quest of reducing carbon emissions and becoming the largest LNG exporter in the Asia Pacific region. With gas exports projected to increase to around 60 per cent of production by 2020, Australia is entering the next stage of a boom that will enrich its economy and make it a key supplier of raw materials fuelling Asia's development.
