CIO Network

The CIO Network is a peer to peer forum for Australia's IT end user organizations. We provide the IT management team with structured access to peer experience, so as to assist in finding solutions to business challenges. Access to our services is restricted to the senior management team as a whole, and vendors are restricted from attending events unless invited.

Testimonials

The GDS International CIO event is a compelling opportunity for senior IT decision makers and key influencers to network and educate themselves in the evolution of managing ICT. It brings together high performing CIOs, strategic technology vendors and independent industry thought leaders to debate, discuss and determine the future of IT. As an independent industry analyst firm, Springboard Research believes events of this quality are both critical and rare. The GDS CIO event should therefore be on the short list of every CIO’s conference agenda.

Warm congratulations to you & your team for holding such as magnificent event that Ovum is very proud of. Well done to you all.

OVUM

It’s been a very very impressive and well run event. The candidates and delegates have been fantastic, we have had a very successful time and very worthwhile of time and money. It’s a very interesting concept having a whole bunch of CIOs spend time one on one on this kind of speed dating if you like. Even though Riverbed is one of the fastest growing companies in IT History, we aren’t a ‘brand name’ yet, so having the opportunity to see such high level decision makers is well worth the investment. We will be investing in this format for a long time to come because the ROI is stunning.

Mike Pamphilon - Riverbed

It was really worthwhile and think you guys did a fantastic job. So much of an improvement on competitors – a lot more personal and a lot more effective. Well done – looking forward to the next one!

Ric Callaghan - Westpac Business

I take the opportunity to that you and your team for an excellently organised event. I enjoyed the whole experience. The vendor meetings were good. The venue was great and your team were excellent. Your team made the whole event a big success as it was.

Sandeep Dharni - Norske Skog

It was a successful event from my perspective. I thought there was a fairly good balance of delegate and vendor driven content By the way, I also heard feedback that the most negative aspect of your competitor’s event (that some of the other delegates attended last year) was that the vendor meetings were forcefully over scheduled, poorly targeted (ie: they were not requested or accepted by delegates) and were too short to allow for a meaningful introductory conversation. The latter point was echoed by some of the vendors that had attended. None of the delegates that I spoke to had any intention of attending that other event again.

Adam Wellisch - Compass Group

What stands out from this event was the quality of the speakers chosen to moderate the round tables. I like working with genuine facilitators who can open people up and keep the discussion moving.

Peter Bates - Xstrata Copper

The quality of this summit was excellent, and I hope to implement some positive changes as well as share some best practice case studies with the IT group. This was one of the richest IT conferences I have attended! The size of the conference encouraged some excellent dialogue and networking.

Simon Soon - AJ Lucas

The last 2 days have been really valuable from the contacts that we’ve made and the level of people that are here, they’ve been exceptional. It’s given us the opportunity to actually have some open and frank conversations with what I can see to be very relevant clients. The best features of the Australian CIO summit is genuinely having an open forum where you can discuss the genuine parties sit down and listen and work in a non threatening environment with some good quality customers and prospects. We see a lot of potential business coming these there are 5 & 6 potential meetings we have agreed for in the next few weeks.

Gareth Williams - Oakton

I found the last few days very valuable from many perspectives. The level of CIOs have been fantastic across the federal region, I can't ask for anything more. The great part has been doing lots of one on one meetings with the people we need to connect to in our customer base: the one on one meeting and level of networking will fast surpass any other conferences.

Simon Barnier - CA Technologies

It’s been a really really good event for us, great opportunity to meet senior people which are normally very difficult for us to get in front of. We can’t speak too highly of it. With regards to the level of the CIOs is tremendous, it's a level we wouldn’t normally get to easily in the market place trying to get in front of in their organisation so to have them here in this contained environment for a couple of days is great, most people we have met have been very senior. Compared to other events we’ve attended the real advantage is the amount of time we spend with CIOs.
